CONTROL LOGIC

OEM production begins with a controlled project brief

An OEM order is not released from a general product description. It moves forward when the drawing, artwork, material, forming route, commercial scope, and approval standard are tied to one traceable project revision.

INPUT CONTROL

Define what must be made

Lock geometry, artwork, substrate, thickness, printing, adhesive, quantity, packaging, and delivery conditions.

APPROVAL CONTROL

Establish the physical standard

Use the approved sample to confirm appearance, dimensions, structure, printing, installation fit, and other agreed requirements.

ORDER CONTROL

Release, inspect, and close

Produce against the approved basis, inspect the batch, protect the parts, prepare documents, and arrange shipment.

Build the manufacturing brief before quotation

Build the input pack around manufacturing decisions—not only appearance. Mark all critical requirements and use one revision number across quotation, sampling, approval, and production.

01 · DESIGN FILE

Drawing and geometry

Dimensioned drawing or 3D model, outline, thickness, holes, slots, windows, critical dimensions, and mating features.

02 · VISUAL SPEC

Artwork and printing

Vector artwork, logos, text, icons, Pantone or color references, print side, transparent areas, and backlight requirements.

03 · MATERIAL SPEC

Substrate and finish

Acrylic / PMMA, polycarbonate / PC / Lexan, or PET; thickness; surface condition; lamination; polishing; and other finishing needs.

04 · ASSEMBLY SPEC

Adhesive and fit

Backing adhesive, installation method, mating parts, fit conditions, protective film, and handling requirements.

05 · ORDER SCOPE

Quantity and logistics

Expected quantity, packaging, delivery destination, requested documents, trade terms, and target schedule.

File-control rule: mark any dimension, color, window, text, logo, hole, or assembly feature that cannot change.

Each gate closes a different type of risk. Moving to the next stage means the previous stage has a confirmed reference—not an informal assumption.

Three substrates, three different forming strategies

Material choice changes how the part is formed. The routes below separate rigid CNC-machined work from thin-film die-cut and embossed work, while keeping the final sequence subject to the confirmed drawing.

Tooling checkpoint: die-cut projects may require a dedicated cutting die; special molds, fixtures, or other tooling are calculated for the actual product structure.

SAMPLE RELEASE

What must be approved before the batch is opened

The sample is the physical control point between design intent and repeatable production. Approve it against the same revision that will govern the batch.

Confirmed drawing, project requirements, quotation, and any applicable sample or tooling arrangement.

How the fee is handled

Sampling is normally charged by project agreement; a free-sample request may be considered in special cases.

Some projects may offset the sample fee against a later mass-production order, subject to the agreed terms.

TOOLING

What is quoted separately

Dedicated cutting dies, molds, fixtures, and other project-specific tooling are calculated separately when required.

Changes to material, geometry, artwork, color, printing, adhesive, or another key requirement must be reconfirmed before production.

BATCH CONTROL

Release rules for repeatable production

Batch production is governed by the approved reference set. The control logic is release → process verification → finished-part verification → packing clearance.

Confirm the final drawing or artwork, approved sample, order requirements, payment conditions, and agreed quality requirements.

COCONTROL

Keep production aligned

Use the approved production basis for process checks and finished-product inspection.

Stop informal revisions

Any change after production begins requires reassessment of material, tooling, completed quantity, cost, and delivery schedule.

Production planning reference: the standard batch-production period is 10–15 business days, with the confirmed delivery date set by the actual project conditions.
COMMERCIAL CLOSEOUT

Finish the order with clear delivery and security controls

Close the order with the same clarity used for the drawing: confirmed payment terms, packaging, delivery route, document set, issue-reporting method, and confidentiality requirements.

ORDER TERMS

Payment and commercial basis

Payment can be completed by bank transfer or another mutually confirmed method. Payment arrangements and trade terms such as DAP or FOB follow the order agreement.

DELIVERY PACKAGE

Transport and documents

International express, air freight, sea freight, a designated forwarder, or a freight-collect account can be arranged. Packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customary documents can be coordinated.

ISSUE REVIEW

After-sales evidence pack

If delivered parts do not match the confirmed drawing, sample, or agreed requirements, provide the order or batch, affected quantity, photos or video, and a clear issue description for verification.

PROJECT SECURITY

NDA and information controls

An NDA can be signed when required. Customer drawings, design files, and project information are treated as protected materials, with information and photography controls in relevant production areas.

OEM QUESTIONS

Questions before opening a custom project

Which files are most useful for an OEM project review?
A dimensioned drawing or 3D model, vector artwork, expected quantity, material and thickness requirements, color references, printing details, adhesive or installation needs, packaging requirements, and the delivery destination provide the clearest starting point.
What are the normal working-day milestones?
Spar Panel responds within 1 business day. After complete project information is available, standard projects are generally quoted within 1 business day. Standard sampling is 3–5 business days, and standard mass production is 10–15 business days, subject to the confirmed project conditions.
Is the MOQ always 500 pieces?
The standard MOQ is 500 pieces per design. The confirmed minimum may vary according to product size, material, process, tooling, and actual production conditions.
When can tooling or additional sample costs apply?
Dedicated cutting dies, molds, fixtures, or other tooling are quoted separately when the structure or process requires them. A revised sample and additional costs may also be needed when a confirmed material, dimension, structure, color, artwork, printing, or adhesive requirement changes.
How are confidential drawings and project files handled?
An NDA can be signed according to project needs. Customer drawings, design files, and project information are treated as protected project materials, and relevant production areas use information, photography, and access controls to reduce unauthorized disclosure risk.
