From project brief to approved production
Spar Panel custom products are quoted and produced according to project-specific drawings, materials, printing requirements, fabrication methods, quantities, and finishing requirements. Complete project information helps support efficient manufacturability review, quotation, sampling, and production preparation.
Information that supports an accurate quote
Start with the product drawing and expected purchase quantity. Then confirm the information that affects material selection, printing, fabrication, installation, packaging, and quotation.
| Project area | Information to provide | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product information | Product dimensions, structure, hole positions, and other drawing details. | Helps confirm the required structure, fabrication route, and inspection points. |
| Material requirements | Material type, thickness, and surface condition or finish. | Helps confirm the suitable material, thickness, fabrication method, and processing requirements. |
| Printing requirements | Artwork content, colors, light-transmission, or backlighting requirements. | Helps confirm artwork, color, printing, and light-transmission requirements. |
| Other requirements | Adhesive backing, packaging, installation method, and other special requirements. | Helps confirm adhesive backing, packaging, installation, and other project requirements. |
| Commercial inputs | Expected purchase quantity and other confirmed commercial requirements. | Allows the quotation to reflect order quantity and relevant project requirements. |
- Product drawing Product dimensions, structure, hole positions, and other drawing details.
- Artwork and color Logo, text, graphics, colors, Pantone references, windows, transparent or translucent areas, and light-transmission requirements.
- Material requirements Acrylic / PMMA, Polycarbonate / PC / Lexan, or PET, together with thickness and surface requirements.
- Project scope Expected purchase quantity, packaging, installation method, and other special project requirements.
A traceable path from drawing to delivery
The standard workflow keeps quotation, artwork approval, sampling, production, and after-sales decisions tied to confirmed project information and written records.
Submit drawings and requirements
Provide the product drawing, expected purchase quantity, and basic customization requirements. If information is incomplete, Spar Panel will confirm the key details affecting quotation and production feasibility.
Confirm material, process, and fabrication method
Spar Panel reviews the drawing and confirmed requirements for material, printing, fabrication, and subsequent processing feasibility. Routine production feasibility review is part of the quotation process and is not charged separately.
Receive the quotation
The quotation is based on the submitted drawing, quantity, dimensions, material and thickness, printing requirements, CNC machining or die cutting, adhesive backing, surface finishing, packaging, and other customization requirements.
Approve the drawing and artwork
Before sampling, both parties confirm the drawings, artwork, and key production requirements. Review items may include:
- Product dimensions, hole positions, and structure
- Material and thickness
- Printed content, logos, text, and graphics
- Colors and Pantone references
- Windows, transparent, translucent, or light-transmission areas
- Adhesive backing and other key production requirements
Confirmation can be completed by email, approved files, or another traceable written method.
Produce the sample
The sample is used to confirm appearance, dimensions, color, printing results, hole positions and structure, installation fit, windows, light-transmission effects, and other project requirements.
Test and approve the sample
The customer reviews the sample according to the intended application, including appearance, dimensions, color, printing results, structure, installation fit, and other project requirements. After sample approval, the project proceeds to preparation for volume production.
Production basis: the final approved drawing or artwork, approved sample, order requirements, and quality requirements agreed by both parties.
Confirm any revisions
Changes to drawings, materials, dimensions, structure, colors, printing, adhesive backing, or other key requirements must be reconfirmed. A revised sample may be required. Any additional costs for re-sampling, cutting dies, molds, materials, or processing will be discussed according to the actual project situation and the reason for the change.
Start volume production
Production begins after the final drawing or artwork, approved sample, order requirements, and payment conditions are confirmed. If confirmed requirements change after production starts, materials, tooling, completed quantities, costs, and lead time must be reassessed.
Delivery and after-sales support
If a delivered product does not conform to the confirmed drawing, approved sample, or quality requirements, provide the order or batch information, affected quantity, photos or videos, and a clear description of the issue. Spar Panel will verify the information and discuss an appropriate solution based on the actual circumstances.
Common Material and Fabrication Routes
Materials and fabrication methods are reviewed according to the customer drawing and confirmed product requirements. The production route is determined according to the material, thickness, product structure, printing, forming, and other required processing.
Panels, lenses, and precision parts
Typical projects include front panels, control panels, display panels, functional or decorative panels, window lenses, nameplates, labels, graphic overlays, and precision plastic components. CNC machining can be used to produce outlines, holes, slots, chamfers, and other structural features. Production may also combine printing, laminating, polishing, and other surface-finishing processes according to project requirements.
Panels, labels, stickers, and windows
Common products include panels, graphic overlays, labels, stickers, nameplates, and windows. Depending on material thickness, rigidity, product structure, and drawing requirements, CNC machining or die cutting may be used to form the finished part.
Graphic overlays, functional panels, labels, and stickers
PET is commonly used for graphic overlays, labels, stickers, functional panels, and embossed products. Production may combine printing, double-sided adhesive backing lamination, emboss forming, and die cutting according to the product structure and drawing requirements.
What determines the quotation
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Quotation basis | Product drawings, purchase quantity, dimensions, material and thickness, printing requirements, CNC machining or die cutting, adhesive backing, surface finishing, packaging, and other customization requirements. |
| Quotation time | After complete project information is received, standard projects are generally quoted within 1 business day. |
| Additional costs | Sample production, cutting dies, molds, or other dedicated tooling are quoted separately according to the specific project. |
| Price structure | Products are custom-made and priced according to the drawing, manufacturing processes, and purchase quantity. Different quantities can be quoted separately. |
Review and Approve the Sample Before Volume Production
The sample is used to confirm appearance, dimensions, color, printing results, structure, installation fit, windows, light-transmission effects, and other project requirements. Final production is based on the approved drawings or artwork, the approved sample, order requirements, and quality requirements agreed by both parties.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Sample lead time | Standard sample production normally takes 3–5 business days. |
| Sample fee | Sample fees are normally charged according to the project agreement. Free sampling may be considered in special cases. |
| Sample fee credit | For some projects, the sample fee may be credited against a subsequent volume order, subject to the agreed project terms. |
| Cutting die / mold costs | If dedicated cutting dies, molds, or other tooling are required for sample or volume production, the related costs are confirmed before quotation or sample production. |
| Revision impact | If a revision affects product appearance, structure, installation, or other key requirements, a new sample may be required. Related additional costs are discussed according to the actual project situation and the reason for the change. |
